On May 10 at the Teatro dell’Elfo in Milan the ensemble Sentieri Selvaggi will perform the world premiere of Francesco Antonioni’s Da cosa nasce cosa. "Un omaggio a Bruno Munari" under the direction of Carlo Boccadoro as part of the group’s current concert season.

Da cosa nasce cosa – a programmatic title (Things come from things) borrowed from the designer Bruno Munari’s manual for creative design – is made up of three pieces that draw inspiration from certain design problems dealt with in the book. The composition, commissioned by the ensemble, has given Francesco Antonioni the opportunity to link the thought of Bruno Munari to the theme of sustainability promoted in Milan’s Expo 2015. The musical ideas, mirroring the maxim that gives the piece its title, develop continually throughout the composition gradually revealing the musical form through repetition and variation.
