French composer Pascal Dusapin’s 60th birthday on May 29, 2015, will be celebrated with numerous performances throughout the world.

Perelà, uomo di fumo
In January, Staatstheater Mainz will present the German premiere of the opera Perelà, uomo di fumo, ten years after the premiere at Opéra Bastille (Paris).

Aufgang (violin concerto)
Also in January, Renaud Capuçon will perform the Italian premiere of Pascal Dusapin’s violin concerto, Aufgang, with the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI conducted by Juraj Valčuha, followed by the French premiere with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio-France and conductor Myung-Whun Chung in the new Philharmonie de Paris.

When he premiered Aufgang in March 2013 with WDR Sinfonieorchester conducted by Jukka-Pekka Saraste, Renaud Capuçon gave us an interview regarding this work.



Reverso
The Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, conducted by Franck Ollu, will perform Pascal Dusapin’s solo n°6 for orchestra, Reverso on January 21, followed by a performance by the Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Musica, conducted by Baldur Brönnimann.
