In September Samir Odeh-Tamimi is going to be Composer-in-Residence at the Festival Artes Vertentes in Brazil. The festival will take place in the city of Tiradentes, a picturesque village from 18th century located between Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte.

Samir Odeh-Tamimi will be featured in 6 concerts, including his chamber music works Li Umm Kámel, Shatila, Jabbsurr and Headlands. Additionally the festival will also present two world premieres by him.
