Newski awarded Artist-in-Residence at Villa Aurora

Sergej Newski started his three months residency at the Villa Aurora in California in July 2014. During his stay he will compose a new music theater based on the novel Pazifik Exil by Michael Lentz. The work will be premiered at UltraSchall Festival Berlin 2015 before having its American premiere at the Villa Aurora in March 2015.

The Villa Aurora fellowship is given annually to twelve artists working in film, literature, composition, visual arts and performance art for duration of three months. The artists reside at the Villa Aurora, the former home of Lion Feuchtwanger, in Pacific Palisades on the outskirts of Los Angeles. It is funded by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs
