Ian Wilson’s major new work to conclude his tenure as Associate Composer with the Ulster Orchestra, Causeway for orchestra and electronics, will be premiered on 26 March at the Ulster Hall, Belfast and conducted by JoAnn Falletta (Photo: Mark Dellas). Causeway is the final work of the composer’s trilogy of orchestral pieces inspired by the history, culture and (in this instance) geology of Northern Ireland, the previous two being The stars, the seas (2011) and Flags and Emblems (2012).
