Nono and Sciarrino in Argentina
Luigi Nono's Prometeo receives an Argentine premiere with performances on November 16 and 17 at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires.The London Sinfonietta, the Orquesta Juvenil del Bicentenario, and the choir Diapasón Sur will be conducted by Baldur Brönnimann and Detlef Heusinger.
Additionally, the Buenos Aires Contemporary Music Concerts and the Colón Contemporáneo concert series present Sciarrino's Morte di Borromini, featuring the composer as narrator, and Variazioni per violoncello e orchestra with soloist Francesco Dillon and conductor Tito Ceccherini. A performance of Quaderno di Strada follows on November 3 at the Teatro San Martín.
