Philippe Manoury returns to his instrument, the piano, in a new work titled Zones de turbulences, a double concerto for the GrauSchumacher Piano Duo and orchestra. The new work follows Echo-Daimónon in which the piano soloist, assisted by the orchestra, struggles with his ghostly and electronic double. Zones de turbulences will be presented at Musica Viva in Munich on December 13 with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and at the Festival Présences in Paris with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France.
