Boesmans Reigen

Composer Philippe Boesmans turns 80 on May 17.  In honor of this event, Oper Stuttgart has scheduled a new production of his opera Reigen which opened on April 24 and has performances through June 3.

Taken from Arthur Schnitzler’s drama and on libretto by Luc Bondy, Reigen was premiered in Brussels at Théâtre La Monnaie in 1993. Since then it has been produced many times all over the world:
