Conductor and composer Laurent Petitgirard will conduct the premiere his new orchestral piece, Solitaire, with the Orchestra Colonne in his last concert at Salle Pleyel on 14th December. Petitgirard reflects on the stakes but also the difficulties of writing this piece:

“Solitaire is not programme music. This title simply evokes this creative characteristic, which is sometimes reassuring, often oppressive, but ultimately necessary. Regarding further explanation to my music, I would simply suggest, if the opportunity arises, to listen to it twice”.
