Dusapin: Video Interviews about Two New Pieces
On October 8 Pascal Dusapin will present two new chamber music works at Musica in Strasbourg: By the Way for clarinet and piano and Wolken, a Lieder cycle for soprano and piano.
These works were written for performers with whom Pascal Dusapin has nurtured a warm and productive relationship over 30 years: clarinetist Armand Angster and vocalist Françoise Kübler, and their ensemble Accroche Note.
In the following interview, Armand Angster and Françoise Kübler take great pleasure in reminiscing about their thirty years of collaboration with Pascal Dusapin, whom they met in 1984 in La Rochelle and whose work they have performed regularly ever since. Pascal Dusapin talks about the challenges of writing these two pieces, and more generally about his relation to chamber music.
