Eric Tanguy: Two Premieres in April

French composer Eric Tanguy’s new work Stabat mater was written for the Easter Aix-en-Provence Festival and will be premiered in April by cellist Henri Demarquette and the vocal ensemble Sequenza 9.3. Also in April, Tanguy’s In a dream will be have its French premiere.

Stabat mater
Few works exist for cello and choir, which is why Henri Demarquette, Catherine Simonpietri, and the singers of the vocal ensemble Sequenza 9.3 initiated a project to commission works for cello and choir. Eric Tanguy’s Stabat mater is one of the first works of the project.
